A familiar engine that writes its state on the screen
Pragmatic Play's original Gates of Olympus has been on the South African shelf since early 2021, and the 1000 variant, released in December 2023, is better read as a recalibration than a sequel: the same core engine, the same 6x5 grid with a Ways to Win count in place of paylines, the same published return of 96.50%, the same $0.20 minimum stake, with the ceiling lifted from the original's 5,000x to 15,000x and Multiplier orbs that now reach 1000x. Volatility remains High, and the Ancient Greek mythology dressing is untouched. What sets the build apart in practice is not the larger numbers but how completely the machine writes its own state on the screen. At almost any moment you can tell which mode it is in, what the current sequence has earned and what is multiplying it, without opening a rules page. What follows tracks that quality: what the display says, in what order, and the one consequential number it keeps off the frame.
